You probably shouldn't be. [Remus' smile gets a bit weary at the edges.]

I've been out of the community for a bit, but some friends recommended this place... Now I have to admit they were right all along and I do like it here. [The wry joke is accompanied by a playful eyeroll.]

[metamorphing]

[ She knows better than to pry, though she does take note of the way his smile changes. Thank her day job for that.

She takes another sip of her water and laughs at the eyeroll. ]

Is there really anything worse than admitting your friends actually know something? [ A beat and she holds out her hand ] My friends call me Tonks.

Especially when you know they're going to be smug about it. [Remus shakes his head. Hardest thing he'll ever have to do in his life, honestly.

He takes her hand, giving it a cordial shake.] Remus. Nice to meet you, Tonks.

[metamorphing]

You too, Remus.

[ And if her hand lingered, she pretended not to notice. Instead, she moves her hand back to her lap, fingers playing with the hem of the dress and takes another sip of water. ]

Here's to hoping they're not too insufferable about it all.

[Remus chuckles, raising his glass of soda to her in a mock toast.] Cheers to that. [He takes a drink.] I could be very cliche and ask if you come here often, but you seem comfortable enough here to be a regular.

[metamorphing]

[ She mimics him, shaking her glass lightly before sipping her water again. ]

You're kidding, right? I live for cliche's. [ She pauses and sets her glass down. ] I don't know if I'd be considered a regular... But I'm definitely glad I decided to come tonight.
