[ Dora kept to her friends for the most part- even here where she was more open to be who she wanted. The club was a nice getaway for her- if nothing else for her to be dancing with her friends from university when she wasn't meeting new people to explore things with.
It was also a fabulous excuse to wear one of her many rubber mini-dresses.
Bright pink hair slicked back in a ponytail, she only paid attention to her friends for a while- until he came in. She spotted him right away- and every time she glanced back over his way, she seemed to catch his gaze again.
Dora broke away from her friends and slowly made her way around the club, through the crowds. She paused every now and then to watch the public displays, grinning and waving her hand at anyone suggesting she join... Eventually grabbing a glass of water and stopped at his table, teetering on her platform heels. She tilted her head to the side, ponytail brushing over her shoulder. ]
[Remus smiles, relaxing a bit in his seat. She doesn't seem to be expecting a scene out of him-- just a conversation. That's a relief. Not that he'd be entirely opposed to doing a scene with her, but it hadn't been his intention for the night.]
I like it so far. They seem to do a lot to make sure people are safe, and I appreciate that.
[ She's not fussed at least. And she's more interested in talking to him before finding out if he wants to do something. But he is rather nice to look at, and charming so far. ]
It's a good place for that. I don't know that I'd be comfortable in a place that doesn't take our safety into this much consideration.
[ It's easy to agree with what he says- and it's true. ]
You probably shouldn't be. [Remus' smile gets a bit weary at the edges.]
I've been out of the community for a bit, but some friends recommended this place... Now I have to admit they were right all along and I do like it here. [The wry joke is accompanied by a playful eyeroll.]
[ And if her hand lingered, she pretended not to notice. Instead, she moves her hand back to her lap, fingers playing with the hem of the dress and takes another sip of water. ]
Here's to hoping they're not too insufferable about it all.
[Remus chuckles, raising his glass of soda to her in a mock toast.] Cheers to that. [He takes a drink.] I could be very cliche and ask if you come here often, but you seem comfortable enough here to be a regular.
[ She mimics him, shaking her glass lightly before sipping her water again. ]
You're kidding, right? I live for cliche's. [ She pauses and sets her glass down. ] I don't know if I'd be considered a regular... But I'm definitely glad I decided to come tonight.

Hello. Sorry, didn't mean to stare.
[Great start, Lupin.]

I didn't know you were.
[ Lies. She gestures to the empty chair. ]
Mind if I join you for a bit? I have to get off my feet.

Be my guest. That you can walk in those shoes at all is better than I could do. [That might be a lie but if it is he ain't telling.]

She crosses one knee over the other and takes a long, appraising look at her choice of shoes for the evening. ]
You think? That's sweet of you to say.
[ She bounces her foot up and down and laughs a little. ]
Is this your first time here?
no subject
Not my first time at a kink club if that's what you're really asking, but yes, it's my first time here.

She grins back over at him and shakes her head. ]
It wasn't- I just meant here here. [ She pauses as she places her elbow on the table and her chin on her hand to lean in a little. ]
What do you think?

Is there really anything worse than admitting your friends actually know something? [ A beat and she holds out her hand ] My friends call me Tonks.
no subject
He takes her hand, giving it a cordial shake.] Remus. Nice to meet you, Tonks.
